Francis Gilbert Webb (1853-1941) was a well-known English music critic and musicologist writing from the turn of the 19th century until 1932 as 'Lancelot" of The Referee. The collection consists of the correspondence files of Mr. Webb and the correspondence of Lady Monckton and a few other letters addressed to different people found in the Webb collection. The correspondence in Webb’s files includes letters from many music personalities such as Samuel Coleridge Taylor, H. H. Lyell-Tayler, Sir Charles Parry, and Albert Visetti.
