Maj. William H. Sager, USMCR (Retired), served with the United States Naval Group, China, from 1944 to 1945 as commander of the American officers who trained Chinese troops at a location called Camp 10. The majority of the collection consists of photographs taken and collected by Sager in China depicting the soldiers and activities of Camp 10, as well as various cities in China and Japanese-occupied areas. Additionally, the collection includes ephemeral objects related to Sager’s service in China.
