Scope and Contents
The Elmer M. Sanders Collection documents and highlights the personal achievements of the Sanders family and their involvement in community affairs and the educational efforts of Trainers of Teacher Trainers Project (TTT) of the San Fernando Valley State College (now CSUN) in 1969. The collection consists of two series: Personal Files (1952-1980), and San Fernando Valley State College Trainers of Teacher Trainers Project Files (1969).
Series I, Personal Files, consists of correspondence, pamphlets, publications, certificates, resumes, programs and newsclippings which combine to document the remarkable accomplishments of Elmer M. Sanders, his son Don Paul Sanders and daughter Robin L. Sanders. Also included are documents on community activities taking place in Los Angeles and Pacoima, including the Regional Conference of Community Leaders on Equal Employment Opportunity in 1963. The files are arranged in alphabetical order.
Series II, San Fernando Valley State College Trainers of Teacher Trainers Project Files, consists of the paperwork for the implementation of San Fernando Valley State College Trainers of Teacher Trainers Project, including budget notes, model of budget summary, plan of operation, program development grant and summary outline. The files are arranged in alphabetical order.
