The collection consists of a fieri facias writ of execution issued in Lawrence County, Alabama in 1860, which commands any state sheriff to seize the sum of two thousand dollars in court ordered damages from six debtors: William H. Rose, William J. Thompson, George W. Austin, George W. Gray, Ava E. Ashford and Liri J. Warren. The writ also includes a list of court costs, and a number of handwritten notes.
