University Archives Oral Histories
Scope and Contents
The University Archives Oral Histories contains oral histories of eight key individuals involved in the history of California State University, Northridge, including some of the university's presidents and provosts. Topics discussed in the histories include the 1994 earthquake, budget crises in California, and the rapid growth and development of the campus. The interviews were originally recorded digitally, and all have been transcribed. Materials are arranged alphabetically by the last name of the interviewee.

The original finding aid was completed by Jessica Geiser in 2014. In 2025, Gayle O'Hara removed the James Cleary and Ralph Prator interviews as they are a part of the John Broesamle Suddenly A Giant: A History of CSUN Collection.
