Abstract
The Japanese American Soldier Photograph Album was compiled by an unknown Japanese American United States Army soldier, noted as "Robert" in a handwritten title on the cover of the album, post World War II. The book contains photographs of his family, friends, and fellow soldiers. The majority of photos are labeled with handwritten captions which often include names, jobs, and where they are from. The photographs depict locations in Hawaii as well as the Marianas-Bonins Command (MARBO) in Guam showing soldiers’ daily lives, military facilities, buildings, and vehicles. Harmon Field in Guam is mentioned and a sign labeled “MARBO” can be seen in one photograph.
