The Horatio Walter Lonsdale Photograph Album is comprised of portrait photographs of Lonsdale's extended family, with nearly all of the photographs labeled with names. The album was inscribed "H. Walter Lonsdale from his sister Christmas 1886." The original album was in poor condition, so the photographs were removed for preservation. Individuals named on the photographs include Lonsdale, Cheyne, Ayton-Lee, Herbert, Unwin, and Williams family members. Photograph studio marks are on many prints and include studios in Richmond, as well as Bath, Munich, Croydon, Edinburgh, Bayswater, and Florence. The majority of photographs were taken in England, though one photograph has the notation, "British Burmah" [Myanmar].
