Richard Embleton Correspondence Collection
Scope and Contents
The Richard Embleton Correspondence Collection consists of personal correspondence primarily from Richard’s mother, Mary, and father, Richard, to him when he was a young boy. Richard goes by “Dickie” which is how all of the letters are addressed. There are also some letters written to his Aunt Laura, whom he stayed with for a short time, and to Dickie from other relatives. The letters from Dickie’s father include many comical cartoons drawn by his father. A small amount of get-well-soon greeting cards are also included in the collection.
