Fred Hardon interviewed Malcolm X, a human rights activist and Black religious and nationalist leader, at Hardon's home in 1963. It aired on the radio station KTYM 103.9 FM. Interview topics include equal rights for Black people in a white-controlled society, Nation of Islam beliefs, criticism of Martin Luther King, Jr.'s approach, and discussion of the 1963 Los Angeles trial regarding the April 27, 1962 Los Angeles Police Department shooting of several Nation of Islam members and the murder of Ronald Stokes. The collection contains one sound recording migrated from reel-to-reel tape.
