Bianca Todd Collection

 Collection
Identifier: SC-BTC

Scope and Contents

The Bianca Todd Collection contains photographs, portraits, pastels, pen and ink drawings, pencil sketches, and art clippings related to Todd's work as an artist in the first half of the 20th century. Original pastel drawings appear to be Todd's, and include scenes of places in Italy, France, and Belgium. Her sketches include people, buildings, and angels. The angels appear to be wall painting sketches. Todd collected clippings of artworks from a variety of time periods. She pasted many of them in a scrapbook, but a number are also loose. The photographs document Todd's artwork, dates of the work, and the names of painting purchasers. Several photographs of her wall paintings were taken by Peter A. Juley and Son and George Haight. One of the photographed wall paintings also has Hildreth Meière's name on the verso. There are also a small number of portrait photographs and prints including Bianca Todd, Hildreth Meière, and other unidentified women.
