Intercollegiate Athletics
Scope and Contents
The Records of Intercollegiate Athletics consists of materials created by the CSUN Athletics and consist predominantly of media guides, press releases and other publications. The Records have been arranged into two series: Administrative Records (1966-2003) and Sports (1962-2001).
Series I, Administrative Records, has been split into five subseries: Business Office (1989-1996), Development (1974-1976), Office of the Directors (1966-1996), Public Affairs and Communication (1972-1992), and Marketing and Promotions (1973-2003), and consists of materials relating to budget, newsletters, promotional materials, and numerous press releases. This series is arranged alphabetically.
Series II, Sports, has been split into ten subseries: Baseball (ca. 1962-1993), Basketball (1964-2001), Football (1962-2001), Golf (1969-2001), Gymnastics (1970-1985), Soccer (1981-1996), Softball (1980-1993), Track and Field (1972-1991), Tennis (1970-1973), and Volleyball (1980-1996), and consists of materials relating to individual and team sports with particular emphasis on football. This series is arranged alphabetically.
