The collection contains items collected by Meyer related to the history of China, including a map of Changsha, a 1947 article and letter written by Dr. Orient Lee on Chinese history, and a five part manuscript on Chinese history and culture written by Herbert E. House.

These newsletters document everyday operations of the camps, and provide insight into the lives of the thousands of workers who migrated to the West Coast in the wake of the Dust Bowl seeking employment.

Simpson to Miss Griffith, confirming a reservation made by Miss Griffith for two single bedrooms and a sitting room for five days at a hotel or boarding house in Mayfair, London, and detailing the cost of the room, meals, and other amenities.
