The Donald H. McGill Collection consists of just a few of Mr. McGill’s keepsakes which include a letter written by McGill and posted from France in March of 1945, a sheet of head shots, and his Presidential Commission in the United States Army.
Charles McHaney China Marines Photograph Collection
Charles McHaney was a U.S. Marine stationed in Tientsin, China during and after World War II. While in Tientsin, he took numerous photographs, the subjects of which are primarily his fellow Marines, local geography, and local culture. The collection consists mostly of these photographs, with some additional print materials related to the U.S. Marine presence in Tientsin in the late 1940s.

Milton W. Meyer Collection
Milton W. Meyer is a professor emeritus of history at California State University, Los Angeles, and has written multiple books on the history of Asia. The collection contains items collected by Meyer related to the history of China, including a map of Changsha, a 1947 article and letter written by Dr. Orient Lee on Chinese history, and a five part manuscript on Chinese history and culture written by Herbert E. House.
Migratory Labor Camp Newsletters Collection
The collection consists of newsletters produced by migrant workers in labor camps established by the Resettlement Administration and the Farm Security Administration in California and Washington during the 1930s and early 1940s. These newsletters document everyday operations of the camps, and provide insight into the lives of the thousands of workers who migrated to the West Coast in the wake of the Dust Bowl seeking employment.
Military Geographic Information on European and Asiatic Russia Collection
The Military Geographic Information on European and Asiatic Russia Collection contains sets of maps and booklets with geographic information on Russia, the greater Soviet Union area, and one group of materials related to Southeast France. The materials were created by Army General Staff in the German Department for War Maps and Surveying in Berlin for military use during World War II.
