Ruth Shaw Wylie was a flautist, pianist, professor, and composer. During her career she composed over 50 pieces of music including ballet, chamber, piano, choral, and orchestral works. The collection consists of working drafts, master sheets, and performance scores of nearly all her compositions.

Patrick Young was a member of the Hong Kong Naval Volunteer Reserve during World War II and was interned by the Japanese Army during his service. Consisting mainly of newsletters dedicated to the experiences of military personnel in Asia during WWII, the Patrick Young Collection also includes personal accounts of China collected by Young and a small selection of articles on the topics of Shanghai and World War II-era prisoners of war.

The Young Women's Christian Association (YWCA) of Los Angeles was established in 1893 to promote the physical, social, spiritual, and educational well-being of young women. The collection documents the establishment, evolution, and achievements of the YWCA of Los Angeles.

The Gary Zarnow New Left Collection consists of publications by a variety of leftist and progressive organizations. Gary Zarnow attended CSUN in the late 1960s and early 1970s and was active on campus in Students for a Democratic Society (SDS) and Vietnam Veterans Against the War.
